Thermally modified Norway Spruce available is ideal for high-moisture environments; for building barrel or traditional saunas. Thermal modification decreases absorbency of Norway spruce significantly, making it resistant to moisture and eco-friendly since no chemicals are used in the process. Due to absence of oxygen during the heating process, spruce does not burn at high temperatures, instead obtains structural changes that increase durability and dimensional stability.
