1000 places to go before i die
Victoria Falls in Africa - when I first saw these falls I was utterly impressed. Turned out what I glimpsed through the trees was only a small part of the falls. Over a mile wide and 100 metres high, these are some amazing cascades. When you're there make sure you do the rafting. Class 4 and 5 all the way (and one class 6 which you walk around) - the BEST!
Where Adventure Begins
Halong Bay in the north of Vietnam is a pretty place with lime stone cliffs coming straight out of the sea. When I went I made sure I stayed two nights in the bay. This allows you to explore further afield and discover less traveled spots. http://www.adventurecenter.com/details?TripID=11889

The Great Wall in China - I walked a lesser-visited section near Simatai to avoid the crowds.

Blue Mosque in Istanbul - timeless icon of a city straddling two continents. http://www.adventurecenter.com/details?TripID=54
Where Adventure Begins
Sossusvlei in Namibia - I walked to the top and saw an ocean of red sand dunes, stretching as far as they eye could see. Be sure to get there for sunrise! Featured on our Desert Rivers and Wildlife trip http://www.adventurecenter.com/tripcode?tripcode=tadd
Winter Tower
Did a hike in Yosemite last fall - one of many highlights California has to offer.

1, 2, 3, 4, ... , 2217 (Bagan, Myanmar)
Bagan is an ancient city in Burma (Myanmar). From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. During the kingdom's height between the 11th and 13th centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone. Of these the remains of over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive. http://www.adventurecenter.com/details?TripID=4
Intrepid Travel
Abu Simbel was one of the highlights of my travels in Egypt. Intrepid Travel, winner of the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler World Savers Awards 2012, visits it. Intrepid won the award for its far-reaching commitment to carbon management and low impact travel. http://www.cntraveler.com/world-savers/2012/intrepid-travel-world-savers-awards#

Machu Picchu - the Inca citadel high in the mountains of Peru. Walk there on one of the many Inca paths (try the Moonstone trek for a really remote experience!), or take the train.
