VEGGIE POT PIE Two cups of vegetables, my choice was a mix of broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms and spinach. I partly cooked the cauliflower and broccoli and blanched the spinach in hot water to soften. Put everything in a dish prepared with cooking spray. Mix IP broccoli cheddar soup with two egg whites, garlic powder and Italian seasoning, and 1/4 tsp of baking powder. Pour mixture over vegetables and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Equals 2 cups veggies and 1 IP meal.
Broccoli Cheese Loaf Bread - 1 IP Broccoli Cheese Soup, 1 IP Crispy Cereal, 2 tsp. Baking Powder, 1/4 tsp. Italian Seasoning, 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder, 1/8 tsp. Onion Salt, sprinkling of IP Salt. Mix. Add 1/3 C. Liquid egg whites, 1/4 C. Skim Milk, 2 tsp. Extra Light Olive Oil. Mix. Pour into sprayed mini loaf pan. Bake @350 for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. 1/2 loaf = 1 IP serv. Makes a great side with soup and/or salad. Or, toast slices lightly in toaster for slider buns. Recipe by JCE
Who says you can't have bread on phase 1? Make the potato bread and I promise it will be awesome! Recipe: potato purée, 1 egg white, 1/8tsp Baking soda and about 1 oz water (maybe a little more to make thick pancake consistency). Bake at 425 for about 5 mins, then flip and do the other side at 5 minutes. You can have egg whites or vegetables or even a burger! All photos coming!
ONION BUN - 1 packet IP Leek soup mix (dry); 2 egg whites; 1 tsp olive oil; 1/4 tsp baking powder. Blend & spread 2 in a pan sprayed w/Pam. Fry on both sides till done. Tip - batter will be thick so you will have to spread it with a spatula sprayed with Pam. 1 IP unrestricted - use as a hamburger bun. Enjoy! ~ janeva eickhoff
A "super-stars" recipe for Broccoli-Cheese Bread. Enjoy! Mindy, I made this using 1 packet (Ideal Protein) broccoli cheese soup mix; two egg whites; 1 tsp olive oil; 1/4 tsp baking powder; oregano, basil, garlic powder, pinch of salt. Blend with a fork until fairly smooth. Bake in a pie pan sprayed with Pam in a 350 oven for 8 mins each side. Delicious.
