Kintsugi series by Bruno Capolongo

In the Kintsugi series Capolongo continues to work with elegant Asian pottery, especially of the Ming and Qing dynasties; but now entering into the mix is the art of kintsugi, or kintsukuroi.

A selection of 4/10 of my new Chu Teh-Chun (kintsugi) paintings, each 12"X12" acrylic, oil and 23kt gold on mounted panels. Chu Teh-Chun is a late master painter known for his abstract canvases and later in life for his highly valued porcelains. These paintings are based on his pottery, which are exquisite examples of contemporary work suffused with the very essence of Chinese pottery and it's milieu.
