Baba Deep Singh ji at an old age led 5000 sikhs to defend Golden Temple, Harimandir Sahib from the Afghani assault. Him and his entire army were sacrificed however Baba Deep Singh ji fought all the way. His head was cut off in battle and he picked it up and with any remaining energy he continued fighting till he dropped after reaching the parikarma of the Golden Temple, Harimandir Sahib.

Harimandir Sahib is the most sacred Sikh temple, also known as Gurudwara. It was originally built by Guru Arjun Dev ji but demolished many times before it was built the finaly time by Maharaja, who added marble and gold on top of it.
