In our next experiment of COVID era - businessing, we have now opened a bit more of our shop to the public which allows us to let in 2 socially distant groups at a time, rather than just one! (Not exceeding 6 humans at a time...) We may change this up as needed, depending on how much staff is on duty or how manageable the day is. Health and Safety comes first! 🧹😁
--Sold-- Newly completed and added to the website! "The Reflection" Manzanita shaker flat floor broom. It's a tall one at 61"
Today marks our 10th Anniversary on Granville Island. We originally had much different plans for today, but instead it has become our reopening day! We have made a much smaller shop space for the public to access, as we need the rest of the space to spread out, and also to keep most of our brooms touch-free. Our web/mail order business is our primary business for the time being, which is a big shift in how we operate. It is not the time to come watch us make brooms, but at least customers can
This broom will take you far! This manzanita handle floor broom earned the name "The Spaceship" because of the futuristic/retro look happening on the light colored side of the handle, which also resembles the latest in spacesuit fashion. While the one side is quite pale, the other side has beautiful streams of color. (make sure to see both photos - it is the same broom!) The broom hangs well with the colorful side facing out. It also is amazingly comfortable to sweep with #broom #broomstick #
Our latest and greatest compact sized natural branch floor brooms! This is a really popular size, and are often used in smaller kitchens and apartments, or for people who don't need the height of our full sized floor brooms! (This includes ourselves). In this collection we have Manzanita, Hickory and Juniper.
We have so many great manzanita round brooms this year. More rounds sometimes means less flats as they are just too unruly for that kind of structure, but luckily, it makes them an even better round broom! This broom is 65" long, so we called it the Monster. It is a good monster 😄🧹
Operational update: We are still closed to the public for now, however someone is in the shop every day making brooms and filling phone/online orders, so feel free to call if you have any questions! We are both shipping brooms and arranging contactless pickups outside our door. We do not yet have a re-opening date, but have been thinking a lot on how it might look, and we expect that we will have a much smaller retail space where one customer at a time can come in and be helped. Unfortunately i
Just some extra twisty flat brooms + one unusually non-twisty marriage broom. 😄🧹
New supply of compact sized, natural branch floor brooms ready to go!
This one can also be trimmed, but we liked its shaggy style :)🤙🏄‍♀️
A pair of cobras! This is what we call manzanita that has flattened sections. We expect it is due to some kind of scrape or damage early on in growth. This large cobra is one of the wilder marriage brooms we've ever made. The baby cobra happened to be found around the same time.
A selection of our beautiful and very deep brown hickory brooms! These handles were sanded as much as the others but had a thicker outer layer to begin with, so they are a little darker, rougher and over all more rustic than our usual hickory brooms.
Freshly made and ready to be put to work! We call this one "The Racer" due to its slightly hidden (from front view) racing stripes.
