Burritt Bros X Zoe Pawlak

In 2013, Burritt Bros. and Zoe pawlak teamed up to design the rug collection, Over Oceans. The collaboration between our rug designer, Ainsley and Zoe resulted in a five-piece rug collection inspired by Zoe's painting. Two years later, we present the second collection, Red Dust. Inspired by paint texture and Zoe's nude drawings, Red Dust offers a painterly feel. The rugs are produced by, and available at, Burritt Bros. Carpet & Floors.

Closer Still Still relates to the stillness that sometimes inhabits us in order to experience the presence of another, an examination of the nude in relationship to other bodies. The bodies seem to slowly glide towards each other in a kind of yearning. The micro interactions, points where the bodies connect, or come within such close proximity of each other, explore our desire for closeness, and also our need to exist and occupy our own space.
