French Onion Soup | Fall Soup Recipe
Ingredients: • 4 yellow onions • Olive oil • Butter • Salt • Thyme • 3 tbsp flour • 1/2 cup red wine • 4 cups beef broth • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1 tsp black pepper • 2 tsp salt • 1/2 tsp oregano • 1 tbsp “Better than Bouillon - Roasted beef base” • French bread • Gruyère cheese Instructions: • Chop your onions. • Melt some olive oil and butter in a pot. • Cook down your onions with some salt and thyme until they turn a nice brown color. • Add your flour and mix until it dissolves. • Add your wine and beef broth and mix well. • Add garlic powder, black pepper, more salt, oregano, and the beef base. • Mix well and let simmer with lid on for 30 minutes. • Slice your French bread. • Toast bread in oven at 375° F. • Shred as much Gruyère cheese as you wa
