This lightning storm timelapse over the ocean is still, to date, the favorite that I have captured over the years. I've had a lot of requests to post the entire duration of the video, and here it is. This storm spent almost 45 minutes back-building along an outflow boundary draped offshore the Palm Beaches many summers ago. I captured my timelapse video stills with a Canon 5D Mark II back then. I captured over a thousand frames to piece together this lightning footage. The frames were about 4-second exposures each, allowing me to capture all the lightning bolts and vivid moonlit sky. You could sit on a blanket on the beach, watch this storm for an hour, and never feel a drop of rain under a light, warm summer night breeze. The summer is young, and I hope to find another night like this
