This is the forbidden secret that makes rich people's homes smell like luxury without spending a single dollar. Have you ever walked into someone's house and the air just felt different? It wasn't an expensive candle. It wasn't obsessive cleaning. It was something else entirely something I never understood until a housekeeper who works for billionaires let me in on a secret that changed everything. The industry does not want you to know that the secret to fresh clean smelling air is just three things you probably already have in your kitchen. Start with a container like an empty ice cream tub. Important, don't use glass. Why? When salt absorbs moisture, it expands. Glass can crack or even explode under pressure. Now, place a cotton pad at the bottom of the container. It doesn't have to be fancy cotton or makeup remover pads work fine. Then, add two tablespoons of coarse salt right on top of the cotton, not table salt. You need coarse salt because the uneven crystals increase the surface area which means more moisture gets absorbed. That's straight up science. Now, comes the magic. Add one tablespoon of baking soda and one tablespoon of white vinegar. When you mix them, you'll see it fizz that's carbon dioxide being released which helps the salt particles spread in the air. Here's the millionaire move. Add three drops of your favorite perfume. No perfume? Use fabric softener. Yep, the same one you use in your laundry. And finally, toss in five or six whole cloves. Not only do they add a warm cozy scent but they're also natural insect repellents. Roaches, spyder seven moth shape that smell. Now, pay Attention, this is where most people mess up. Do not seal the container completely. Airflow is key so the salt can breathe and do its thing. Grab the lid and poke some holes in it. Heat up an old fork over the stove for about 10 seconds. Use the hot tip to make perfect little holes quick, easy and safe. Snap the lid back on. Now, place these in at least three spots around your home. Inside your closet especially where you store blankets or winter clothes. Mold ruins fabrics. Behind the toilet mortis area in the house even if it doesn't seem like it. In your carry up under the seat. Kills that weird fast food meets wet dog smell. But here's the real rich person hack. They hide it inside the Hvac system. So when they turn on the AC that luxurious scent spreads through the entire house. It's like having a high end diffuser without spending $60 or more on one. If you don't try this today, your home will keep losing the battle against mold, humidity and bad smells. I made my six months ago and I haven't spent a single dollar on air freshener since. Now, it's your turn to beat the system. Hit save, share this with someone constantly fighting musty smells and I'll see you in the comments.
