Thank You To Our Bikers!
A big thank you to everyone who rode, ran, or walked in support of CPAR in the Canada Africa Partnership Ride this weekend! With your help, we raised over $2000 for our COVID-19 projects in Ethiopia, Malawi and Tanzania. Thank you to all the riders and supporters, and we hope to see you again next year!
some food is sitting on a white plate and ready to be eaten at the table
This is injera, a pancake-like bread found everywhere in Ethiopia.
It's traditionally used instead of utensils, so, when eating, you rip off a piece of injera and pick up your next bite with it. It's a fun way to have dinner, especially if you have young kids at home!

These are Ethiopian Beef Tibs - their version of a stir fry!
Eaten with injera (recipe coming later today!), a delicious new way to make beef. Start discovering Ethiopian food with this dish and if you like it, you can download our cookbook for more recipes.

Thanks to generous funding, we were able to build this rainwater harvesting tank
we were able to build this rainwater harvesting tank at the Chiputu primary school in Malawi. They now have access to fresh water to drink and to wash their hands. They were very proud and excited to show off how it worked when our executive director went to visit them! We hope to be able to build many more of these in the future for other primary schools in the area. If you'd like to help us reach that goal, feel free to donate!

Today is the International Day of Happiness
It's a day to remember that kindness, generosity and selflessness can bring happiness to you and to others. In a time when the world is panicking and many are suffering from the COVID-19 virus, take today to do something kind for someone else or to be generous towards a stranger or a charity. You can donate to CPAR, either towards one of our projects, or towards our Greatest Needs fund to impact others through the work that we are doing in Africa. Perhaps now, more than ever, they need your help

We are pleased to introduce our new Executive Director: Kathrina Loeffler
To close out our International Women’s Week celebration, we are pleased to introduce our new Executive Director: Kathrina Loeffler. Kathrina’s interest in international development started at a young age, when she lived in Papua New Guinea and then in Lesotho. Those experiences sparked in her a passion to learn about other cultures and a drive to contribute to ending poverty.
