The Cornish Hens were served with a warm potato & green bean salad, caramelized onions, and insanely delicious chicken jus. Producing a jus like this is a time consuming, labour intensive art. It was one of the best we had in Canada full stop. Cooked in a house made BBQ sauce and served macaroni & cheese casserole and green beans. The pork was very tasty, and the five cheeses in the casserole ensured that the “Cheese” was the star of the dish, not the “Mac” - works for us. We enjoyed this meal at Shift in Saskatoon. We enjoyed this in Saskatoon at Calories Restaurant. This was the perfect scone - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Paired with a lovely local jam and an unsweetened whip cream.
Gluten-free bread with fresh sliced mango, goat cheese, tahini, fresh mint, spicy honey. There was only a thin layer of tahini on the bread to give it a bit of background nuttiness. Raw Salmon Poke Bow at the Congress Beer House in Saskatoon. This was delicious! A generous amount of wonton chips to add some crispy texture, dusted in roasted seaweed powder (nori). Though you can't see it in the photo, there's loads of fresh salmon with lime. It had a great selection of veggies too: corn, avocado, cilantro, jalapeño, edamame, tomato, cucumber, radish. All drizzled in a nice spicy aioli and sitting on a bed of rice.
The rice bowl: peanut satay, chicken, pork and Shrimp spring rolls, greens, carrot, cucumber, tomato, sesame sauce, sunny side up egg. We had this at Congress Beer House in Saskatoon.

Cooked to perfection with vine-ripened tomatoes, capers and brown butter this gem was served with a side of delicious, toasted focaccia perfect for mopping up all of the delicious sauce. Pasteles at Mi Casa Restaurante in Saskatoon. This Salvadorian dish is made of stewed chicken stuffed into a tortilla pocket, then fried until extra crunchy. It's exceptionally good with their tasty house-made salsa -like hot sauce... so much so we used up all the sauce at our table and had to ask for more. Sometimes you just want a simple tasty sandwich - which can be surprisingly hard to find! We dropped in to Mystic Java on 4th St. in Saskatoon for a turkey club melt: nice thick slices of turkey, a good serving of bacon, crispy lettuce, fresh tomatoes, mayo and a melted mild cheese.
