Baklava Rolls
1hr · 1 serving Ingredients • 200g pistachio • 100g almonds • 1 tsp ground cinnamon • 300g gee/butter (melted) • Phyllo dough sheets • Finely ground pistachios to serve Syrup • 3 cups granulated sugar • 2 cups water • 1 tbsp lemon juice • 2 cinnamon sticks On medium/high heat dissolve sugar in water. Once it begins to boil, add lemon and cinnamon, reduce heat and simmer for 15 mins. Set aside to cool in heatproof jar. Make pastry rolls with filling and brush with butter. Cook for 45-60 mins at 160°C, remove from oven and pour cooled syrup over hot rolls. Let soak for at least 1 hour. Full recipe at @tazxbakes Instagram
