Here are my tips to make sure you get nice flat bases every time. First and foremost, make sure that you have a uniform slab of clay. Uneven slabs can lead to uneven drying, resulting in warping. Step 2 is to compress your clay before you start building. It might seem like a small step, but it can make a big difference! Another effective trick is to ensure slow, uniform drying.
