Athletes, are you prone to #shinsplints? Strengthen your lower leg muscles to help reduce shin splint recurrence with this exercise: Sit on the floor and loop an exercise band over the top of your foot. Tie the other end of the band around a table leg or stationary object. Dorsiflex (or, flex down) your foot against the resistance of the band. Do 3 sets of 10 - 15 reps to begin.
