One of the best decisions we made was adding an electric fireplace to this area. It was such a weird open corner mantle situation - don’t you ever wonder what in the heck the people who built your house were thinking?! We framed it all out and added the shiplap and brick look tile and painted it all white. The mantle is original to the house which I love and matches all the wood trim we have. It’s the first mantle I’ve ever had and the fact that it’s in our bedroom makes me love it even more.
