Ms. Johnstone, our Director of Guidance, Academic and University Counselling, has been travelling to the Universities of Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Stirling in Scotland, where she has been meeting with Admissions teams to build connections for future Havergal applicants!
Grade 5 Integrated Arts students launched their Islamic Arts unit with a visit to the Aga Khan Museum! Students toured the galleries and learned about the various pieces in the permanent collection. They also participated in a Persian painting workshop where they used watercolour, gold leaf, and their knowledge of this art style to create paintings of goats. Students had a wonderful time visiting the immersive exhibition "Light: Visionary Perspectives", which was filled with contemporary installations by renowned artists. They gained a better understanding of these works and the boundless possibilities of light through a workshop with the Ontario Science Centre.
