Inspired by the Cousteau Hat by Typy here on Ravelry, I created this simple and free cowl pattern for those who may want to knit up a matching neckwarmer to accompany their hats. I made my husband a Cousteau Hat for Christmas and once he saw how much I love my cowls, I realized he needed a matching cowl of his own. That’s when I decided to put something down on paper so others could have a matching set, too.

Motorcyclist's Neckwarmer pattern by Wolfberry Knits

My partner asked me to knit him something to stop the cold breeze freezing his neck when motorcycling in winter and this is what I made. It is a thick ribbed neckwarmer/dickey that can be tucked down under the neck of a motorbike jacket. It uses about 200m of scrap worsted weight or bulky wool, on 4.5mm/US 7 needles. The neckwarmer is worked in the round from the top down on a circular or DPNs as preferred.
