I first noticed this abandoned Toys R Us in Jacksonville last summer, but I didn't get a chance to take photos of it that time, and I regretted missing the opportunity to take photos of this building. While I was in Jacksonville last weekend, I knew I had to go back to take photos of this Toys R Us.

When Dixie Square was open, this store was not originally a Toys R Us. This store was originally a Walgreens, but was "dressed up" as Toys R Us for the movie "The Blues Brothers" in 1979. This sign was still there until someone removed it in 2006. This was one of the last pieces left behind by "The Blues Brothers" production staff some 27 years ago.
