I was drawn to the shape of the cup, and thought I’d experiment with turning it into a vintage-looking burnished gold, so I could put flower arrangements in it. 

Not bad for $5!  What do you think? 

Here are the products I used:
* Rust-Oleum Paint & Primer in Flat Black
* Rust-Oleum Metallic in Champagne Bronze
* Behr Decorative Wax in Dark Antique (optional)

The Rust-Oleum Paint & Primer is the key, as it’s designed to stick to plastic. From there, the color of spray paint is your choice. The decorative wax is just a subtle added touch to help give it a slightly more antiqued look.
