With The Block 2024 houses now complete, the contestants moved on to overhaul the communal areas and, after 13 long weeks of grit, grouting, and more than a few standoffs, Phillip Island’s clubhouse vision has finally emerged – and, at last, it feels like a real holiday retreat.

This library space design is just one the many communal areas of this student project. The interior has lots of layers with textures to it, with patterns and accessories to ensure a home-away-from-home feel for the students. Established in 2022, MUTU Loka existence has taken part by honoring the progression of Cilaki 33 in juxtaposing a narrative of an obsolete contemporary lifestyle. Due to the early 2020s pandemic, people started to acknowledge the presence of open space in communal space.
