I love bringing my summer flowers inside. One of my goals has been to have fresh flowers on my kitchen counter from last frost to first freeze. And I almost always accomplish that goal. I get my first cut flowers when the daffodils bloom in late February, and sometimes, zinnias and cosmos bloom till the first part of October. This year I'm trying to preserve summer flowers using only one ingredient.

DIY on my website! I recently came across these Japanese herbariums online. I just loved their esthetic so much I wanted to recreate one for myself. Theirs just something that gives them whimsical charm and beauty as the sunlight shines through the glass and illuminating the petals. My favorite part about this project was taking dried flowers from weddings, funerals, or special occasions and taking something dead and giving it a near life!
