It was apparently found within the permanent camp of Mikembo (DR Congo, Katanga, January 2014) and killed straight away by a local guide because too dangerous. A rather large ‎Brown Forest Cobra (Naja subfulva) from St. Lucia, South Africa. This is probably my favorite cobra. I've been hoping to come across this species since I started my field work in the forests about two years ago. In that time I've seen a couple of juveniles but in December Tyrone and I were lucky enough to photograph this 1.92m beast.
