Project: Housing Project, Student: Allisya Maryanto, Tutor: Neil Farquhar, Location: Caldicot. An intergenerational housing project uniting young families and the elderly. It boasts a community dining hall, workspaces, and tree canopies offering ever-changing views of nature. The two-story design blends harmoniously with the surroundings, while community gardens, social areas, exercise spaces, and playgrounds foster strong bonds and a vibrant community.
Sunset Park Master Plan - Gilmore Iowa
JBC led the community engagement and design process for Sunset Park in Gilmore City, Iowa. In addition, we co-assisted with a successful grant application for funds to install the rain garden. We love seeing plans brought to life! An outdoor classroom, nature play area, fitness stations, rain garden, art locations, and a pollinator prairie round out the design for this progressive community gathering space.
