Extremely cold temperatures caused the crashing waves from Lake Erie to freeze on the surface of the Cleveland Harbor West Pierhead Lighthouse forming a bizzarre structure - much like a sand castle. I took this during my yesterday's lunch break. I drove through the lakefront at Edgewater park and took some other amazing pictures of frozen structures. I will post them during the next few days.

Lighthouse in Lorain County, Ohio The Lorain West Breakwater Light, also called the Lorain Harbor Light, is a lighthouse in Lorain, Ohio, United States. The light was built in 1917 on Lake Erie by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. It was taken out of service in 1965 when it was replaced by an automated lighttower on a nearby breakwater.
