And while some are pushing it forward, trying to produce 3D-printed food, a Japanese design studio has decided to create something where you could put it.

_Dés Gravité_ translates from French to English as _Gravity Dice_ and is a project that files beautifully amongst the many gems in French artist Suzy Lelievre's portfolio. It's such an accomplished body of work that I'm left with no choice but to enviously mutter "Why didn't I think of that?" while searching for the necessary 200 Euros to seal the best Christmas present my dad has ever seen.

Practical for bedside tables, desks and wherever large areas of light are required in a small space: The Sigor Nutalis is a cube-shaped battery-powered light from which widespread light flows. The slanted sides of the cube reflect light in a unique way, making it look like an art object when turned on.
