Matt Risinger on Instagram: "Insulation then over-roof on our Monopoly framed house. We did the math today and it’s just shy of $10/framed foot added to the cost of the house for this (labor & materials). It will be an asset to this house for many decades to come. Have you done roof top insulation? What’s holding you back? What’s something else that adds $10/ft to the house that you might VE (value engineer) so you could do this instead? FYI: Two layers of Atlas are R11.4 each so this is R22.8 on top of the Zip sheathing. We used Trufast caps on the foam to hold it down then 8” long Simpson screws to hold down the 2x4’s on the flat. #insulation #rood #monopolyframing #therisingerbuild" Zip Sheathing, Flat Roof Insulation, Flat Roof Construction, Roofing Tools, House Makeovers, Roof Insulation, Home Building Tips, Roof Construction, Roof Trusses
