Ingredients (serves 2)

300g garaetteok (tubular Korean rice cakes)
1.5 cups water
3 tbsp gochujang
1-2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp light soy
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp kombu flakes (or shredded nori)
100g super-firm smoked tofu
2 spring onions

Instructions

1. Mix together the gochujang, sugar and soy in a small bowl.
2. Fry the whites of the spring onions and the garlic in a little oil for a minute.
3. Add the water and kombu and bring to a simmer.

this spicy, sweet, sticky, savoury mince is super easy, packed with flavour & really proves how versatile of an ingredient tofu is- the meaty texture it takes on after being thawed & crumbled is next level 🥵

ingredients (serves 2)

1 block (300-400g) firm tofu, crumbled (freeze & thaw for ‘meatier’ texture)
2 spring onions, chopped (plus extra for topping)
2 garlic cloves, minced
2cm ginger, grated
1 tbsp gochugaru
1 tbsp gochujang
2 tbsp tamari (or soy sauce)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tbsp rice vinegar
1/2 tbsp sesame oil
2-3 tbsp water
sesame seeds for topping
rice to serve

method

1. preheat your oven to 200°c
