On those wonky schedule days, I like to switch it up and do art with writing. The kids seem to enjoy this one, where we created snowman in different perspectives. This was an introduction to our point of view unit.

"Snowman Selfie" This is a fun lesson I did with my drawing students on One Point Linear Perspective, and what I call “The Three Planes of Drawing:” Foreground, Mid ground, and Background. This lesson was named by one of my younger students, because it had never occurred to me that it looks precisely like a snowman taking a selfie, who would’ve thought! Snowman Painting with Markers & Watercolor Resist! Did you know markers bleed and you can make the look like a painting? You probably figured that out if you accidentally spilled water on a marker drawing-ruined right?! We used the "bleeding" accident to paint our snowman so they look 3D! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!
