Tablet loom

This is the 4th incarnation of my loom. With the help of my brilliant son and husband, I gathered ideas for the warp roller and here it is! It works great so far and I'm loving how easy it is to move the warp forward. The back piece of PVC has holes drilled in it (I have my own drill press) and a chopstick is inserted in the holes (which are drilled across from each other) to move and hold the roller bar. I have learned a few things about weaving in my time, so I’m going to share a hack with you. First I’ll give you some vocabulary. “Warp” describes the long threads that go the length of the fabric. “Weft” describes the threads that go sideways across the fabric. “Take up” describes how much the warp is taken up by going over and under the weft.
