TREBARWITH STRAND

Ref: M3-8040 This little stream runs out from the valley and over these rocks towards the sea, and has carved this tiny little canyon. There was some fantastic light before the sun set, however I needed to wait until the sun had gone to reduce the contrast so I could capture that wonderful detail in the seaweed and 'canyon walls' etc.

Ref: M3-8030 The low sun provided some stunning light, while the cliffs provided a wonderful view across the beach at Trebarwith. The sand was fresh from the sea with not a footprint in sight!

The ever popular beach of Trebarwith Strand is located around two miles south of Tintagel. It is one of the few easily accessible beaches along this stretch of North Cornwall coast. Now owned by the National Trust the name comes from the Cornish 'Trebervedh Sian'.

Tregardock (Cornish: Tregaradek, meaning homestead of Caradoc) is a coastal settlement and beach in north Cornwall. It is situated between Trebarwith Strand and Port Gaverne Tregardock was the location of a World War II aerial bombing and gunnery range at Treligga aerodrome. The small beach is accessed by climbing down the cliffs near the settlement of Tregardock.
