A special girl turned 6 on Friday and I turned a predecorated ice cream cake into a unicorn! This was easy and would be perfect with my unicorn party kit and backdrop! Just scrape off the decorations you don’t want with a twist tie, cover an ice cream cone in icing and roll it in sprinkles, add eyes with gel icing, add some more flowers and sprinkles if you want, and done! DIY unicorn ice cream cake. Sugar cone "horn" with edible gold spray. Cool whip frosting and sprinkles.

Easy homemade unicorn cake. No fondant needed. I used two box cakes, baked in 9" pie pans and stacked. One box of cake mix makes two 9" cakes, this is four layers. It is made with normal store bought icing. The horn is an ice cream cone brushed with melted butter and covered in gold sprinkles. The hair is made of Air Heads Extreme candy twisted into curls. The ears are two cut sprinkle pink donuts from Shipley's. The eyes are just a bit of black decorative icing.

Frosted the ears with buttercream, let it sit in the fridge to harden, then painted the inside of the ears with edible gold paint I bought from amazon. Used the same paint for the horn. Easy and cute for your little ones special day!
