“The Struggle Within” Prints

This painting was born from struggle and is one of the most personal pieces I've ever painted. Stuck in a very deep and dark depression, I couldn't even get myself to desire to get out of bed. At the end of one of my darkest days, my sweet husband found some of my paints and a sketchbook. As he brought them to me, he lovingly asked me to paint out my feelings. I could only express my feelings in 3 words: depression (black), anger (red), and faintly glimmering through, hope (gold). This was a major turning point in my life that led me down a path of peace, healing, and thankfully, a lot more painting. We all have our own struggles within and sometimes we believe that may be the end of us.
