When one has free will they can become greedy and selfish. Cassius and Brutus see killing Caesar not as being selfish, but for the people of Rome's sake because he has too much ambition and power. In regards to the plot of the play, the ability of free will takes over Cassius and Brutus to be oblivious of the evil in their action of killing Caesar.
