Saint-Saëns & Bizet
Join us March 6 in-person or via live stream! Program Information: Ethel Smyth was a devoted champion of women’s suffrage in the UK, and that movement’s anthem is featured in her Overture to The Boatswain’s Mate. Award-winning cellist Bryan Cheng will perform Saint-Saens’ Cello Concerto No. 2, playing on the same Stradivari cello used to premiere the work in 1905. And we finish with a brilliant work from a young genius, Bizet’s sparkling Symphony in C. Tickets go on sale February 15, 2022.
