'Grizzly Giant' Sequoia tree
The 'Grizzly Giant' Sequoia tree in the Mariposa Grove of Yosemite Park (Oct 2014). This tree is one of the largest trees in the Mariposa Grove and is estimated to be 1,800 years old. The huge limb on the south side of the tree (left) is almost seven feet in diameter.

Tram that takes visitors through Mariposa grove
This is the tram that takes visitors through the lower and upper groves of Mariposa. 2014 was the last year that these trams will be doing this however. It has been determined that the asphalt trails are detrimental to the Sequoia trees and the plan is to break them up and remove them after the 2014 season.
