Oriental Institute Museum, Striding Lion This striding lion tile sculpture stands in the Mesopotamian Gallery. It's from the Processional Way leading to the Ishtar Gate of ancient Babylon. (The Pergamun Museum in Berlin has a full- scale reconstruction of the Ishtar Gate.) Other interesting items in this gallery include collections of tools, votive figures, and clay tablets with cuneiform inscriptions from ancient Mesopotamia (now Iraq).
