Daisies
Daisies, May 2020 Maria Karpenko Acrylic on canvas 36 H x 48 W x 1.5 The daisies outside my window in Santa Rosa, California, inspired me to paint this painting. I spent a couple weeks in Santa Rosa to social distance myself from the bustle of cities. I sprayed and splashed paint to give this painting a more expressive feel and added dimensionality to the yellow centers by squeezing paint directly out of the bottle.
