There's something about mothers.
Anyone who has met me more than once has probably heard me say my signature one liner; “Mothers are my jam”. Don’t get me wrong – I love babies, kids are hilarious and dads are amazing. But, mothers, now Mothers are something else. Mothers have a certain type of fire that I find awe inspiring and magnetic. 💜 Tag a Mother that inspires you daily in the comments below! 👇

It's all part of the process.
Riding the wave of your shifting identity in motherhood can be de-stabilizing. 🙇🏼‍♀️ You may be thrown off by not feeling the way you used to feel - not thinking the way you used to think - not prioritizing things that used to be priorities. Know that this is normal. It’s part of the process. 💜 #EverythingMotherhood #MOGAmoms
Trust your gut - not what you're told.
Repeat after me: I’ll do me, you do you and all our kids will turn out okay. 💜 #EverythingMotherhood #MOGAmoms
No judgement here.
Parents have been ignoring their kids forever! Electronics are just a newer means of keeping alive an ancient tradition. So, don’t roll your eyes and judge the moms who hand their kid an ipad. 🙅🏼‍♀️ They just have traditional values. 🙌 #EverythingMotherhood #MOGAmoms
It's all part of it.
Ain't that the truth! 🙌 Where did you see big personal growth once you became a parent? 👇
Self advocacy
Have you heard of the term “self advocacy”? If not – LEARN IT! 💜 You have the right to advocate for what you want. You have the right to advocate for what you need. You have the right to advocate for your baby’s needs. You have the right to ask questions. You have the right to understand what you’re agreeing to (or refusing)! You can and SHOULD advocate for yourself. If it makes it easier, you can think of this as parenting. Advocate for yourself as you would advocate for your child.
This is motherhood entrepreneurialship!
Taking the leap into full time entrepreneurship can be terrifying. It's key to find those other women that will help you through the journey! Here we have instagram.com/amysmithconsulting and instagram.com/lindsayandco - two very important people behind MOGA who have been rocks for each other through their journeys. When a sales expert like Amy meets a brilliant marketer like Lindsay, amazing things happen! So, are you ready? Two feet in and ready for this amazing MOGA adventure?
We're not so different.
Good mom, bad mom, drinks too much mom, doesn’t drink enough mom, works too much mom, swears too much mom, cooks homemade mom, orders take out mom, and on and on and on. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Whether that’s a good thing or not is up to you - but the more important message here is this: WE ARE OBSESSED WITH JUDGING MOTHERS. But here's the thing. We are not so different! We ALL are just out there trying to live our best lives and be the best mothers we can for not only our little ones but for ourselves.
You are valuable.
Studies suggest that moms actually work the equivalent of two full time jobs. Say whaaaaaaaaat?! Incase you aren’t feeling valuable today after “only” picking up after the kids, “only” feeding all the tiny humans, “only” keeping everyone happy, we’re here to remind you: YOU ARE DOING ENOUGH. YOU ARE VALUABLE. 💜 #EverythingMotherhood #MOGAmoms
Electronics are a tool!
Look, we know that all the studies show that electronics are bad for young children’s minds. Get it. Noted. Got it. ✅ BUT - what those studies don’t show is my toddler driving me to the brink of insanity and my choices being to drink wine at 9am or letting him watch 10 minutes of YouTube. I think YouTube is the safer bet. 🍷
Doesn't everyone feel this way some days?
Some days I don’t like my kids. I said it. It’s out. There it is. I’m not going to even add the “of course (insert how much I love my child)” to make everyone else feel better about the fact that I have normal freaking feelings. I’m not going to add that... 🙅🏼‍♀️
More praise for Moms!
Have you noticed that dads get praised for being a ‘good dad’ for things that moms do EVERY. DAMN. DAY. without so much as a thank you?! 🙇🏼‍♀️ Out with the baby alone? What a good dad! Home with the kids alone? What a good dad! Up in the night with the baby? What a good dad! I know we’re coming off as resentful right now but this isn’t actually about praising dads too much - it’s more about NOT praising mothers ENOUGH. 💜 #EverythingMotherHood #MOGAmoms
Raising boys
I wanted a daughter so so badly. As a strong, confident woman, I thought “I need to raise a daughter”. Truth is, strong women need to raise strong girls AND strong boys. We need to raise men who will speak up against inequality as much as we need to raise women who will shatter glass ceilings! 💜 #EverythingMotherhood #MOGAmoms
