The Violet-tailed Sylph (Aglaiocercus coelestis) is a species of hummingbird. It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. This Sylph lives in areas from 300–2,100 metres (980–6,900 ft) in elevation, though typically above 900 metres (3,000 ft) on the west slope of the Andes.

❤ Hummingbird Nectar Recipe- Directions for making safe hummingbird food: 1.Mix 1 part sugar with 4 parts water and bring to a boil to kill any bacteria or mold present. 2.Cool and fill feeder. 3.Extra sugar water may be stored in a refrigerator. 4.Red dye should NEVER be added. Homemade hummingbird nectar recipe instructions: 1 part regular white sugar to 4 parts water. Example: 1 cup sugar, 4 cups water 1. Boil the water. 2. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. 3. Let cool. 4. Refrigerate in a designated hummingbird feeder pitcher. Nothing extra: There is no need to add anything extra to the homemade hummingbird nectar recipe, i.e. coloring, honey, etc. It’s not necessary and could be harmful. Honey will quickly ferment becoming poisonous to the birds.
