Who doesn't hate those stupid wire racks, specially if they are installed poorly and in the wrong spacing, way to much wasted space. Its all gone now and replaced by a standard Ikea Pax Wardrobe system with adjustable shoe shelves - love it! It holds a ton of shoes, my laundry baskets, our central vac hose, the kitty litter and small custom cut shelves for bins (out of season items or whatever). Easy and fairly cost effective project!

Neat & Simplified: Before and After - Basement Family room is now purged, decluttered and set up for movie and Wii time. An area was created for Lego and kids toys playtime and another area for scrapbooking and crafts.

Basement purging: out with the old, grouped the "keep" items, created a fun play area for the kids and now tons of space for them to drive their scooters indoors during our cold winters!

A purging and declutter session is almost always split up in phases. Here is an example of one of those. The room is now totally functional and will be once more transformed once the basement gets completely finished with drywall and new carpets. What a difference it made though!
