Childhood Cancer Awareness

In the past 30 years, we’ve developed a greater understanding of childhood cancers. But we still need more new therapies. Children don’t get adult cancers, they get childhood cancers. But the scientific community banks on the hope adult drugs will work in kids. Many effective therapies are removed from drug companies’ pipelines because they’re ineffective in adult cancers, though they may work for children. So we, as a society, need to do more to make childhood cancer a priority – for everyone.
