In our current world of uncertainty, the silver lining may be that we have the opportunity to choose a new path of our choice and start fresh ❤️ I hope that all of you are hanging in there, and although it doesn’t solve our present conundrum, I hope that you are able to see the good in everyday; even if it is only one small thing.

white and pink flowers are blooming on the branches of an apple blossomed tree
This weekend would have been the apple blossom festival, a time of year that starts the summer for most of us living within 100km of the Annapolis Valley. It was a time that I would look forward to so much as a child, because it meant spending the weekend with my parents, siblings, grandparents and cousins, barbecuing stay out outside until the sun went down, sunshine, a parade and the fair! As sad as it is that this festival is not happening this year, it was so beautiful to see the apple bloss

a woman kneeling on the floor next to a potted plant and holding it in her hand
It has officially been one week since my online shop went live! I honestly don’t even know what to say other than the support and love has been so overwhelming, but immensely heartwarming. Not being able to work these last 3 months launched me into strategic planning overdrive, and I had to dig deep to create something that was genuine, intentional and didn’t veer aesthetically from the brand that I have spent 10 years building. Photography is and always will be my passion, but so are plants and

Lavender, it is my favouritest thing. It has so many uses; endless really and it smells so sweet. These ones here are my harvest from last year that have been making their way to linen pouches for the shop 🌿

a green plant with large leaves in front of a white background and clock on the wall
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give ~ Sir Winston Churchill | a very thought provoking and powerful statement; one which I have always loved and try my best to exercise ❤️ Fun fact about this plant, I have owned it for 18 years. I love plants, if you follow along with my story then you know this, and when I see one destined for the trash or worst, already in the trash roadside, it comes home with me; like this one did 18 years ago. Vatican and I were walking home

To fuel my love of staying occupied, and to contribute financially to our household during this disruption as a “non-essential service, I have been in overdrive working tirelessly to temporarily diversify the future of my business. The concept of an online store (deliveries only) has been what keeps recurring as a viable solution. Finding the balance between photography and slow living has been the objective in this endeavour; and HOME by Nicole Lapierre was born. It is here that you’ll find a c

a man and woman hug while standing in a field
Hugging seems so foreign right now, and that is devastating to me. What I wouldn’t give to wrap my arms so warmly around my family and friends; these three (and sweet Ellie not shown here) would definitely be top of my list ❤️
