Tiny Saints® - Saint Agnes
The name Agnes comes from the words for “pure” in Greek and “lamb” in Latin. St. Agnes lived around the year 300. The lovely 13-year-old daughter of Roman nobles had several suitors but, having consecrated herself to Christ, she refused to marry any of them. For this, the suitors attempted to force her into a life of impurity. Agnes resisted, strong in her Christian faith, and was eventually martyred for her beliefs. She is beloved as a saint of innocence and virtue.

Tiny Saints® - Saint Francis De Sales
Following his ordination in 1593, Francis de Sales traveled throughout Switzerland to share the Faith. Hoping to open hearts, he slipped simple pamphlets under doors instead of lecturing people. He spent time playing with the children instead of proselytizing. In his famous book, Introduction to the Devout Life, Francis taught millions that holiness and peace are possible for everyone. The key was prayer.

Tiny Saints® - Saint John (The Evangelist)
One of the four Gospel writers, John the apostle has a very special role in Church history. John was the only apostle to stand loyally beneath Christ at the crucifixion. There, Jesus entrusted John and Mary to each other. In his later years, when asked to record his experiences as an apostle of Christ, John strived to fill in the blanks left by the other three evangelists, whom it appears he admired greatly. Because of the high and spiritual tone of his writings, John’s symbol is the eagle.
Tiny Saints® - Blesed Miguel Pro
Ordained in 1925, Miguel Pro was a Jesuit priest in Mexico where public worship was banned. But Pro was kind and clever. He served the poor unceasingly and performed the sacraments in secret. When President Calles’ car was bombed, Pro was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to the firing squad. Hoping to portray Pro as a coward, Calles sent a photograper to the execution. Instead of a cowardly priest, the photo portayed the truth: a brave Miguel Pro, arms stretched, declaring, “Viva Cristo Rey!”
Tiny Saints® - Saint Andrew
Andrew and his brother Peter were fishermen by trade until Jesus visited them on the docks. “Follow me,” Jesus said to them, “And I will make you fishers of men.” An early disciple of St. John the Baptist, Andrew was prepared to follow Jesus. He did so for years as one of the twelve apostles and continued to preach following the death and resurrection of Jesus. For preaching Christianity throughout Greece, Andrew was tied to an X-shaped cross and left to die.
Tiny Saints® - Saint Lucy
Young Lucy used to bring food and aid to fellow Christians hiding from persecutors during the third and fourth century. She used a candle-lit wreath to light her way and carried as much food as possible. But eventually, Lucy was captured and tortured. Her eyes were removed and she soon after died a martyr of the Faith. Today in Scandinavia, St. Lucy is considered a source of hope and light during the long dark winter months. Each year, prior to Christmas, towns gather to celebrate her light!

Tiny Saints® - Saint Teresa Of Avila
Teresa was born in Spain in the early 1500’s. Like many teenage girls, she loved fashion, boys and dreaming about the world outside. That same passion inspired her to bravely follow her dream to become a Carmelite nun. Teresa had intense spiritual experiences and eventually started a new convent stripped of the luxuries some other religious communities enjoyed at the time. Teresa’s writings were deep but relatable.
