a woman holding up a pink and grey quilt in front of a couch with a light hanging from the ceiling
803 reactions · 18 shares | She’s quick, she’s fun and she’s so so pretty. 😍 If you’re looking for the perfect summertime or weekend project, look no further than the #rubysuequilt . ✨ . I still have other samples to show, but can we just have a moment for this cover quilt? The pinks, purples and little hint of blue…it makes my heart so happy, exactly how Ruby girl feels about her favorite toy. 💜 This pattern is perfect for showing off big swatches of color, all blended and mixed in like it’s a painters palette. 🎨 . #rubysuequilt is out now and all patterns are 20% off! Comment “LINK” and I’ll send you a DM with the link to the blog post with more info! 🐶 . #loandbeholdpatterns | Lo & Behold Stitchery | Facebook

Just click here to see the great ideas from great teachers- Bonnie Hunter, Lynn Carson, Diane Harris, &... | By The Quilt | I like to think of taming my scraps the same way I would doing the dishes. So, I don't cut into new yardage or new fat quarters to cut strips from, I will take the leftovers of a project as I am cleaning up from that project and if that piece of paper fabric is smaller than say half a fat quarter, you can judge how what size you. Sure. Want to. I will cut it down into the sizes of strips that work together to form most traditional patchwork blocks. Okay. So, for instance, I will with inch and a half strips two inch strips two and a/ 2 inch strips and three and a/ 2 inch strips these all come from cutting down the leftovers of the previous project that I'm working on okay so why those numbers because the math works to create the units that we work with the most I can sew three inch and a half strips together and these are directly from my scraps from my cutting table so they don't match anything I can sew three of these together and pair it with the three and a/ 2 inch strip the math works okay you can sew two two-inch strips together and come up with the same strip set height of three and a half inches. I can sew a two and a half to a one and a half and it comes out to three and a half inches.

The corners and then so hold this opposite corner. Hold it and let the other one go. Okay? And hold it up. Okay? So that's going to be our diagonal right? Alright, so we're going to cut along this this whole What the heck are you doing? Ooh I like it. Dare she. You did it from one end to the other. Oh, sure. That'd be great. Thank you. Alright, so you just keep cutting along this diagonal. I'm doing geometry. Oh, she's another one of those math people. What the heck? I shouldn't leave way behind. Here we go. Okay. Alright. Alright. So, Unfold it. Okay and if you want to match this up perfect So what happened there? Explain it to me Lucy. What happened? Oh my goodness. So you're going to take that end and slide it towards you. This little point. I'm going to take this end and slide it toward me. Until we have the width boots. So So, we just need to be. Okay. Fat. So, it's getting wider and wider. This one a little bit over. So, does anybody have like something to measure with? Yeah. What should do in the backing? Yes. Oh my. So, instead of three yards, she needed. So, instead of four yards, we're doing two and a half yards. But it's really for the visual roots off of this. Here, we are at 50 inches. And then from the fat side. To the fat side. We are at have. So, we have some room to No, I thought online but I love it so much. I've made it my own. So, if you want it a little bit wider, we can move another two rows down We're turning two and a half yards into four yards. Oh, good job. Just in case. Whoo. 60 inches long. More than. Let's get the right side of the tape up. Seventy-two. So you got 72 by what are we missing? Fifty-five. Fifty-four. So two and a half yards made and now you have that you have that going in the right direction and you What do you think? Okay cheers. Now now we have another Saint Alexis. Okay. Is it too Put it out. She videoed it. Yeah. Okay.
