Our interior Oxford fabric liner is great, don't get us wrong... but there's something about the clean lines and natural warmth of these wood tones that really stands out. For our first prototype, we went with a 1/4" pre-finished birch plywood for the panels and an easy-install "sandwich method" system at each hub for securing them in place. Our Biggest Zome Yet... By A LONG Shot! 😎
This mountaintop installation last summer came in at 6X THE SQUARE FOOTAGE of the biggest Zomes we've previously built! It's truly a thing to behold. It had to be assembled from the top down, with the apex of the frame being bolted together first, with subsequent rows and layers added later as the build continued, slowly raising itself up into the sky. From there, the bubble insulation and outer cover were a snap thanks to our local crane truck operator :) Want a Zome of your own? ⬇️⬇️⬇️
