Ceremonial Mace

Morning Star: This type of mace is commonly called morning star or holy water sprinkler and was made in Milan sometime between 1560 and 1580. Constructed of punched, engraved, and russeted steel, the piece is ornamented with silver and gold hatching, a copper alloy, and is encrusted with silver beads.
