Argyll Tartan as Scottish Blossom What is a Scottish Blossom: Wool Tartan Rosette to wear with or without a sash, to display a brooch, pin or family crest badge. Scottish Blossom: Each Blossom will look different depending on how the tartan pattern hits the design. If it gets wet, and it can be laid flat and Ironed. If the pin seems too loose, you can take a tweezer and close the opening slightly. Why make Blossoms: I purchased a Clan Young Sash to wear when my husband wears his formal Clan Young kilt. Wearing a sash, though it's traditional, was very awkward for me. I never draped it right and it always fell off. After years of storing my sash, I pulled it out and it was eaten by moths. I saved some of the pattern and made a tartan rosette. I added a panel on the front to hold my favorite Celtic brooch. The first time I wore it, I received many complements and requested for a Scottish Blossoms made from other family tartans. Custom Orders: I have over 290 tartans, but if your family is a different name, please contact me for a customer. I will work hard to find a Mill that makes your official Tartan. Best Regards, Kathleen Masino
