This packet has students invent two different kinds of candy by drawing a diagram of both. Then students will choose the one they like the best to write about. I have included graphic organizers for narrative, explanatory, and opinion writing. You could have your students do all 3 types to see the difference or you could just pick one based on the needs of your class.
