Using my chalk pastel colour pencils and an A4 sheet of kraft paper, I brought the portrait of a woman to life. I started with the basic shapes, a simple, almost unremarkable framework that gradually morphed into more detailed features. Then I took a purple pastel pencil and shaded the face to give it depth and character.
